To honour my beloved grandparents who lived on the Swedish island called Gotland. I have created a setting with my hand illustrated tableware inspired by the limestone rock formations along the islands coastal shoreline. I wanted to create a warm and welcoming table, yet elegant with golden accents. The pure linen table runners in natural sets a soft tone with the mustard yellow napkins. I adore the little robins amongst the candle centrepiece. During my childhood, we often traveled over from Stockholm for Christmas celebrations on the island and I remember arriving to a long table beautifully set with a full linen tablecloth, tall tapered candles and a buffet of beautifully presented dishes.

Like it was yesterday, I’d run towards my grandmother standing in the doorway with open arms. Her first words were always ‘Have you missed me dear Nina?’

My wonderful grandparents, Maria and Viktor.
