Design Inspiration – Gotland, Sweden
Gotland is Sweden’s largest island in the Baltic Sea, where my grandparents lived and where I spent many blissful childhood holidays.
The island’s distinctive limestone rock formations, known locally as Rauks, are shaped over centuries by the sea and wind, creating unique natural sculptures along the coastline.
This hand illustrated watercolour design represents the iconic rock formation Kaffepannan (“Coffee Pot”), capturing the beautiful natural colours, textures and sculptural forms that make Gotland such a special place.
A celebration of Swedish heritage, family memories and the landscapes that continue to inspire my designs.
