Design Inspiration

Inspired by the Swedish traditional weaving technique Näver, created using birch tree bark, Ingria celebrates a beautiful craft tradition passed down through generations. Nina first discovered this technique through her grandfather Viktor, an exceptional craftsman and proud Ingrian, whose family heritage and journey to Sweden during the Second World War became a lasting source of inspiration.

Each Nina D design is named after a person or place close to Nina’s heart in Sweden, reflecting personal memories, family traditions and the stories that shape each collection.
