Design Inspiration – Ingria, Sweden
Ingria is inspired by the traditional Swedish weaving technique known as Näver, created using the bark from birch trees.
This beautiful craft tradition was first introduced to me by my grandfather, Viktor, who emigrated to Sweden from Telise Village just outside Leningrad during the Second World War. Viktor was an exceptional craftsman and a proud Ingrian, and his connection to traditional craftsmanship continues to inspire this design.
The Ingria collection celebrates heritage, resilience and the beauty of handmade traditions passed from one generation to the next.
