Skogshyddan medium size, contemporary cork-backed lacquered placemat for your home in a vibrant emerald green design with a superior gloss finish. Meticulously hand-illustrated by Nina with watercolour and her popular two dimensional layering technique, where the cobalt blue leaves are almost dancing on the surface. Skogshyddan is inspired by our Swedish summer house. The surface has a lacquered melamine resin finish. All of Nina’s designs are named after a person or a place close to her heart back home in Sweden, inspired by Nina’s personal upbringing and family traditions.
*This placemat is reduced in price as the melamine resin did not press evenly with its gloss finish. It is too difficult to capture the slight matt edges of the resin on photo. It is only visible in certain light and angle. Some of the placemats have slight thin marks. Our seconds products are non-refundable. Ideal for large dining events. Please see photo of all three placemats as one has slightly rounder corners and the other two have lacquered edges.

Each order comes beautifully gift wrapped for free with tissue paper and branded ‘Nina D’ ribbon. Together with a personal handwritten note and leaflet explaining the design inspiration. Packaged in environmentally friendly corrugated card and cardboard box for extra protection.
Our placemats and coasters are completely handmade in England, heat-resistant up to 140 degrees celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit).

DESIGN INSPIRATION: Named after our Swedish summerhouse which is surrounded by tall pine tree forests and dark blue sky. Shifting shades of greens and blues occur throughout the seasons. Skogshyddan translates to ‘the forest hut’.
