Beautiful and contemporary large cork-backed Stortorget placemat for your home in ochre yellow tones with a superior lacquered finish. Meticulously hand-illustrated with a two dimensional layering technique. Each design is named after a person or a place close to my heart back home in Sweden, inspired by my personal upbringing and family traditions. This is our new production with lacquered edges.
*This large placemat is reduced as it is not fully flat on the surface and may have slight thin mark which occurred in the production. Otherwise it is in brand new condition. Ideal to serve dishes on or as a back up for larger gatherings. Our seconds placemats are non-refundable.
Matching birch wood serving trays, medium size dining placemats and coasters also available in the Stortorget design. This is our new delivery of Stortorget in a brighter colour palette and with lacquered edges of the eucalyptus board. Sold individually so you can mix and match to your personal taste.

Each order comes beautifully gift wrapped for free with tissue paper and branded ‘Nina D’ ribbon. Together with a personal handwritten note and leaflet explaining the design inspiration. Packaged in environmentally friendly corrugated card and cardboard box for extra protection.
Our placemats are individually handcrafted in England with a lacquered heat-resistant melamine resin up to 140 degrees celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit). Each placemat is cut, layered and pressed completely by hand. This can result is the smallest differences as each placemat is unique. The design and premium handcrafted quality remains the same.

DESIGN INSPIRATION: Named after the oldest square in Stockholm’s beautiful Old Town with its golden facades and striking architecture. Stortorget translates to ‘the big square’.
