Ester & Erik candles is a family-run Danish business which has been producing handmade, hand-dipped candles of the highest quality since 1987. Ester & Erik taper candles are not just any candles, but design icons for the home.

Made from 100% natural, non-drip and non-smoke paraffin wax. Add Scandinavian elegance and atmosphere to your home, or special event with their slim tapered candles.

The company Ester & Erik was created in 1987. Since then the candles have been made using the traditional immersion technique were each cotton wick is repeatedly dipped into hot paraffin of the highest quality. This creates a beautiful candle which is then coloured and finished in matte by hand. This dipping method ensures exceptional quality, perfectly shaped candles that are non – drip, soot free and odourless. These candles have an attractive slow burn of 5 hours with a clean, steady flame. Ester & Erik taper candles are self-extinguishing, meaning the flame dies out 2-3cm from the bottom.

These set of 4 taper candles are 32cm long and 1.6cm diameter around the foot. They come securely wrapped in a box with burning instructions.

Slim Taper candles by Danish Ester & Erik in matt linen grey for your table or as the ultimate gifting.

The classic slim taper candle was the very first candle to be dipped in the ester & Erik production, and even though this was more than 35 years ago, it continues to be their best-selling candle by far. The candle’s fine, pointed top has always made it unique – a distinctive feature from which it derives the elegant, slender look that distinguishes it as an Ester & Erik candle

Material: The candle is made of 100% pure fragrance-free paraffin wax from Europe’s leading producer. The candle is produced at the family based factory in Denmark, and the wick is made of 100% cotton.

Foot: The foot of the candle is conical in shape, which means that the candle fits most candle holders. The diameter around the foot is 1.6cm.

Self-extinguishing: The candle is self-extinguishing, so the flame dies out 2-3 centimeters from the bottom (however, we recommend to never leave lit candles unattended).

Extinguishing guide: We recommend using a candle extinguisher to extinguish the candle. This avoids smoke, and ensures that the candle is completely extinguished, thus preventing the wick from smouldering. A candle extinguisher will completely extinguish the burning wick, so the wick remains intact.
For candles with a lacquer, gold or silver coating, it is important – after putting out the candle with an extinguisher – to remove the outermost layer of lacquer from the depression around the wick so that the candle can be relit without any difficulty.

Candle-burning tips: To ensure that the candle burns in the best possible way, we recommend keeping the wick short, placing candles min. 10 cm apart, and avoiding placing candles in direct sunlight, draughts or above a radiator.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY:
I want you to be delighted with your purchase. However, you can of course return your item within 30 days of receipt, if unused and in its original packaging.

I will be happy to exchange items for replacements. Or make a refund onto the card used to make the original purchase.

Postage charge will not be refundable and if applicable, there will be a charge for sending any exchange items by post.
Products can only be exchanged if available, please see postage charges below. Differences in product costs will be reimbursed or charged prior to sending.

Please provide a daytime telephone number and email address for future communications.

Orders or exchanges that have an outstanding balance to settle will be held for 14 working days. After this, the order will be cancelled and any credit on the account will be refunded to the original payment method.

Returned items can take up to 7 working days to process from receipt. Returns are dealt with in the order which they are received. Once processed, confirmation will be emailed.

Please be aware that it can take 5 to 7 working days after I have processed a refund payment for it to appear on your credit card statement.
