Design Inspiration – Ekotemplet, Hagaparken, Stockholm, Sweden
I grew up in Solna, just north of Stockholm city centre, and much of my childhood was spent exploring the beautiful royal park of Hagaparken.
One of my favourite places was the Haga Echo Temple (Ekotemplet), an elegant pavilion built in 1790 as a summer dining room for King Gustav III, who loved entertaining outdoors.
Beyond its beautiful architecture, the oval temple was cleverly designed to enhance conversation around the King’s large dining table through its remarkable acoustics.
The Ekotemplet design celebrates the timeless elegance, royal heritage and peaceful atmosphere of one of Stockholm’s most treasured historic landmarks.
